| Planet Hockey/YHFA Spring and Summer Camp Info | Dear Austin, TX Area Hockey Families,
Thank you all for coming to the team meetings to hear about our Spring Camp and summer development program. I will have the details for the summer camp completed this coming week and will have a sign up process, times, costs, et cetera for this camp for those who do not sign up for both Planet Hockey and our Summer camp together. Please note that goalies are have price for both camps. There is not a sibling discount for the Planet Hockey camp. If you are wanting to attend both camps but want to pay for Planet Hockey now then the summer camp by June 1st please send me an e-mail.
We are very excited to have partnered with Planet Hockey to bring a top quality Planet Hockey Summer Skills Camp to Austin this summer…at a discounted price. We are pleased that the May Planet Hockey Camp will provide our players with a strong base to continue into our local 6 Week Skills Development Program beginning on June 21st. Planet Hockey’s expertise and the individual Player Profile (skills assessment report card & DVD) Planet Hockey students will receive, will guide our 6 week training to maximize player development. We have organized a sizable discount to provide players with BOTH Camps (includes 7 weeks of hockey camp), for $100 per week!

HEADLINES  | | | | | YHFA your help is needed | posted 03/05/2010 Dear YHFA Hockey Community,
In an attempt to help Dan Graesser get back on his feet after losing his home and its contents to a fire, we are planning some events for Saturday, March 13th from 3pm to 8pm (or later).
Hockey
Fun Hockey Games for all of our Hockey Community with Youth Hockey on one rink and Adult Hockey on the other at the same time.
Details: Cost is $15 for youth and $20 for Adult per player OR as much as you want to donate. ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TOWARDS HELPING DAN.
Youth Hockey will have pick up games with the younger ages going first and moving up the age brackets. Games will start at 3 pm. Bring a dark and light jersey.
MITE/SQUIRT 3:00 - 4:15pm
PW/ 1ST YEAR BANTAMS 4:30 - 6:00pm
2ND YEAR BANTAMS / MIDGETS 6:15 - 7:45pm
Adult Hockey round robin tourney. These games will be like the ones Mr. Dacko has done in the past for raising money. We are hoping to have 5 teams who will play 30 minute games. Games will start at 4:15 pm Please contact Jason Maurer by email @

Bring your Kids
We are setting up kids appropriate movies upstairs in the dryland room. There will be babysitters on site to help take care of the little ones who need sitting.
Wives, Girlfriends and Significant others....
There will be a Silpada Jewelry Party hosted by Kari Maurer upstairs in the Loft for the ladies to find some great jewelry. Kari will be donating all commissions from the sales to Dan. There will also be hockey bling clothing for sale, hockey calendars and some other great goodies.
Other things....
Concessions will be open with hot chocoloate and other items
A raffle will be held downstairs with some fantastic prizes!
And most importantly our hockey community coming together to help out one of our own.

** If you have material possessions that you want to donate, please contact Jason Maurer (e-mail above) so this can be properly coordinated. At this time Dan will need just about everything for a home but will probably only need 1 of each item so dropping many items off might cause confusion. It might be a few weeks before a permenant residence is available, so please hold those items until Jason can get back in touch with you.

Our Austin Ice Hockey Swap Shop will let you buy, sell, trade or give away any hockey gear that you may have with other players in our organization. We'll also use this as a bulletin board forum for any tickets, ride shares etc. that you may want to discuss sell or trade with someone from the organization.
